Principal
LYN FITZSIMONS
Royal Ballet School T.T.C. (Dip), RAD RTS, A.R.A.D, A.I.S.T.D.
After commencing her training at Glasgow Ballet School, Lyn then progressed to the Dance School of Scotland for 5 years. At the age of 16 years she was awarded a coveted place at The Royal Ballet School in London.
On graduating with her teaching degree, Lyn decided against teaching contracts offered to her within professional dance institutes. She preferred to gain more stage and performing experience which she believes imperative to every good teacher.
Lyn performed and toured internationally for 8 years, contracts included work in TV, Film, Modelling, Theatre, Cabaret, Musicals, Opera, Ballet, Flying By Foy, Music Concerts and Olympic Ceremonies. Over the years, Lyn has had the pleasure in working with some inspirational choreographers Pierre Rambert, Jaymi Marshall, Joan Palethorpe, Jeff Andrews, Ross Mckim to name a few.
In 2001, she then returned to Scotland to establish herself as an Artistic Director. She now balances her busy teaching schedule with directing and sometimes performing with The Ballet Schools whilst choreographing and freelance teaching for companies, dance schools, festivals, music videos, corporate functions and other commercial events worldwide.
